I could ramble on about this album and its 19 songs, but, instead, I’ll just say that this is easily their best album since 1998’s Life Won’t Wait. Like Life Won’t Wait, this album blends Rancid’s tried-and-true street punk with reggae, ska, folk, and a slew of other genres, but I said I wasn’t going to say any more, right? Anyhow, I used to love Rancid (a lot) and I can probably still sing almost all the words from every song on their first three albums. They were such a great and impactful and anthemic band that just made you feel alive when you listened to their music. Let The Dominoes Fall is the closest thing to that the band has delivered since their salad days of the mid-90’s despite the fact that these guys are into their forties.
