She had diabetes, really bad, and it finally caught up to her. She was a holy terror, but one of our best friends ever. My wife told our girls that she is now a ‘twinkle star’ in the sky. When the day starts getting long, my older kid looks up and reminds us that one of the first few stars of the night is Girlie. It sucks losing a friend.
