Dear Superchunk,
I had friends in high school that were big fans but somehow I never managed to listen to any of your records with any sort of intent or (now) remembrance. I’m sure I heard a song or two back then but didn’t pay much attention. I’m here to formally apologize. If your new 5 song EP, Leaves In The Gutter, is any indication of your older material (which, BTW, I hear is pretty damn awesome) then I’ll be out buying copies of Foolish and No Pocky For Kitty in no time. Really, I mean, how have I never listened to any of your records until now? How did I miss your first 12 year run that coincided with my teenage years and my musical education? It’s crazy, right? The songs on Leaves In The Gutter are great and leave me wanting much much more. So thanks and I’m sorry Superchunk.
Sincerely,
Eric

“On the Mouth” is their best album with songs like ‘Precision Auto’ and ‘The Question is How Fast.’ Great stuff.
