Seven Years And Counting…

Seven years ago today I married my beautiful wife Amy on a sunny day in St. Marys, PA. Seems like we were just kids back then. Even though we were [Totally] in love, it’s sometimes hard to believe that she went for it when I popped the [Question] considering I think it was a [Pretty Pathetic] attempt. Still, we had been a couple since 1998 and I hadn’t actually been [Chasing Amy] for many years. Anyhow, on our wedding day, when I saw that [Punk Rock Girl] in her wedding dress, I instantly knew she was my [Mrs. Perfect Girl]. That might be a stretch because I knew long before that that she was the one for me. At the wedding reception, my brother gave [A Toast To The Happy Couple] and then probably told the bartender, “[Pass Me A Straub].” I know I did. We did our fair share of [Slow Dancing] but I also remember hearing the [Click, Click, Click, Click] of the [Kamera] quite a bit that day as we took a cart ride around the golf course and were driven around town for photos.

Since then, not everything has been perfect, but every day with Amy as my wife is [Just Another Day In Paradise]. Sure, we’ve both gotten older and heard [The Sound Of Settling] and I know I’ve had to say [Don’t Hate Me] a few times, but we’ve made it this far. Many of our friends have been getting married and having kids as well so it seems that [Happiness Is All The Rage]. Speaking of kids, Amy and I now have two lovely daughters, Hailey (who is almost 4) and Teagan (who is barely a month old). Including Amy, I affectionately call the three of them my [Punk Rock Girls]. I think it’s cute.

So even after all this time has passed, I still want to scream from the [Rooftops] just how much I love this woman. I still [Want] her and love waking up next to her kissing her [Clavicle]. It might sound cheesy, but I still want to find a good way to tell her, “[All I Need Is You].” I think this mix might do the trick.

    Aww!

I want to write a novel like this. It would contain every song I ever loved, and the reader would consume so much Dillinger Four and Off With Their Heads that they would gain 50 pounds and be living in Minneapolis by the end.

I’m not sure how I happened upon your blog, but this is just about the cutest blog/mix I’ve read/listened to. Congrats to you both and your two daughters.
