I’ve been waiting for what seems like forever for a new record from Cincinnati’s 500 Miles To Memphis, and while this isn’t technically the, I was still super excited when I got this in the mail a few weeks back. This 5 song EP is a collaboration between Ryan Mallot (the frontman for 500 Miles to Memphis) and Kelly Thomas (who sings in The Fabulous Pickups). It’s nothing short of great, well, if you like your country music soaked with alcohol and heartache and and excellent male/female vocal harmonies. There’s also plenty of country twang and more than enough rock guitars to satisfy even me. Ryan and Kelly just sound great together on this record and there ’s not a bad song in the bunch. Kudos to Deep Elm Records for releasing this. Anyone have any info on a new 500MTM album?
