Reviews: Fuck Buttons – Street Horrrsing

There is no way that Street Horrrsing should be as good as it is. It is repetitive, abrasive, and just plain noisy electronic music. It is also oddly calming and surprisingly melodic. Think of Fuck Buttons as the softer side of Black Dice perhaps.

On Street Horrrsing revolves around chuggingly distorted and repetitive synth drones that envelop the listener and whisk you away into a dreamy (albeit sometimes nightmarish) world/wall of sound. It is one of the sickest albums I’ve heard all year.

Who knew that two kids from Bristol could create such unexpectedly badass noise that is the bastard child of years spent listening to MBV, Boredoms, and (yes) Black Dice. Highly fucking recommended.

It’s a pretty cool CD, I didn’t really think I would like it, but I do.
