Review: Weezer - Weezer (The Red Album)

This album pretty much totally sucks. With the so-called new red album, Weezer has given us their third self-titled album. What assholes. Everyone knows that the first Weezer album and Pinkerton are good, but Weezer just hasn’t been the same since their comeback in 2001. Their second self-titled album, Maladroit, and Make Believe range from bad to offensively bad in overall quality. And it all leads straight to the red album.
On the red album Weezer and their enigmatic frontman Rivers Cuomo have devolved their sound into a self-congratulatory pile of absurdist cock-rock shit that even the flavor-of-the-month mainstream audiences it is targeted towards should smell from a mile away. Rivers hasn’t dropped the huge choruses or the fuzzed-out guitar distortion that made Weezer a household name but he has forgotten to write songs that anyone other than him might care about. This is low quality party music that is on par with the nast that is 2 girls 1 cup (look it up if you need to).
Maybe I should have paid more attention to the last few Weezer albums (or probably not). Perhaps I would have known to stay away from this. It really shouldn’t have been hard to know that every chord change is predictable and the lyrics will insult the intelligence of anyone with an IQ over 50. Stay away from this lbum, but if you just can’t then listen to the songs below.

Sounds to me like you’re the asshole. I’d like to take those 2 girls’ cup and throw it on your whiny stupid review writing head.
