Review: The Goddamn Rattlesnake – Get Comfortable

Beginning with some serious rat-a-tat-tattin’ and then adding some banjo pluckin’ to the mix Get Comfortable jumps right out of the gate hustlin’. It shows early exactly what Brooklynite J. Rattlesnake and his boys in The Goddamn Rattlesnake as all about and how they plan to get there. Their sloppily great hillbilly mountain acoustic country-folk is dirty and raucous and did I mention awesome? This shit has a rough twang that doesn’t sound so much authentic and old-timey as it just sounds like a bunch of friends playing music and getting drunk. What I mean is that whiskey and cheap beer would go down perfect while listening to Get Comfortable and (with any luck) help you get (comfortable) some. So go get comfortable. What are you waiting for?
