It might possibly be my favorite Cursive album. But the album that really got me into Cursive was The Ugly Organ, and this isn’t too far of a departure from that. I still think Domestica is great, but Ugly Organ and now Mama, I’m Swollen are my favorites.

I’ve been trying to reserve judgement on this one until I have the vinyl in my hands to peruse (just finally shipped). It’s kind of odd that they delayed the vinyl release so far behind the CD, when most labels seem to be doing the opposite.

I’m still waiting for this one to grow on me, though – it’s missing almost all of the attributes I liked about their previous albums, save the lyrics.

Underwhelmed at first, but stay with it. I think the last song on the album is actually my favorite.

count me in under those who were underwhelmed. i love cursive, do not get me wrong, BUT this record doesn’t do it for me. maybe i need to spin it again and let it grow to me, but i just can’t get behind this record.

that said, i did like “in the now” and “from the hips”, but the rest…..meh.

Was just discussing this album yesterday and you pretty much summarized the conversation. Maybe I need to let it spin a little more because it hasn’t quite stuck to me yet.
