Rehasher – High Speed Access To My Brain

Rehasher - High Speed Access To My BrainHigh Speed Access To My Brain is the recently released sophomore album, and follow up to 2004’s Off Key Melodies (on No Idea), from the from Gainesville, FL based band Rehasher. The band features Roger Manganelli, Gui Amador, Ryan Geis, and Jake Crown; guys you may know as current and/or former members of bands like Less Than Jake, Army Of Ponch, Bullets To Broadway, As Friends Rust, and Savage Brewtality. These punk veterans play the sort of fast melodic pop punk that reminds me of mid/late 90’s Fat Wreck stuff like Lagwagon (but better). It’s the kind of music that just makes me feel about 1/2 my “real” age. You know, the tried-and-true combination of buzzing rhythm guitars, blistering drums, frenetic punk bass, and catchy guitar leads but done in a way that doesn’t seem like, well, a rehashing of the past. The band recorded the album at Roger’s Moathouse Studios and is self-releasing the CD but the vinyl is out now on Vinnie from Less Than Jake’s awesome Paper + Plastick label. Seriously, go get a copy of High Speed Access To My Brain. I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t love this.
