A week from this coming Saturday is Record Store Day 2011. That’s April 16th folks. Go out, buy some vinyl and support your local independent record stores. I’ll be checking out the Midnight Sale at Kiss The Sky in Geneva, IL and doing my part. Before that sale starts, I’ll be hanging out with my friends from Kid, You’ll Move Mountains who are playing a FREE all ages show on Friday night before the RSD sale right next door. The coolest part of this is that I’m opening for KYMM with a set of my own. That’s right folks. While most music bloggers would probably do some sort of DJ set, I’ll be banging out some songs (old and new) on my guitar. I’m pretty excited about the whole deal and will also be playing in Chicago in early May, more info on that soon. Click some of the links above for more details.

Very cool! Hopefully you’ll record/post some of the performance for the non-Midwest crowd.
Planning to hit up Fingerprints, here in Long Beach. They’re having the Foo Fighters play that day, but I wasn’t able to get down there yesterday to get a wristband. Hoping it’ll be loud enough for me to listen by the curb.
