Back when I was a kid, maybe 8 or 9 years old, one of my 2nd cousins (his name was Grzegorz but we called him Greg) from my father’s side of the family came over to the United States from Poland and lived with us for a few weeks. He was a year younger than I was and I distinctly remember (at the time) him being a little odd, which is unsurprising considering the cultural differences between the United States and (then) communist Poland in the late 80’s. This cousin visited the US again a few years later but I really don’t remember much about that visit as he didn’t spend much time with us.
Fast forward to just a few weeks ago when I was doing some genealogy research and did a Google search for my distant relative Greg and found out he was the vocalist in a band called Przepraszam from Warsaw. How cool is that? Since then we’ve exchanged some messages and I’m genuinely excited to have gotten in touch with him. His band has a different sound; a sound that is equal parts folk, goth, and indie rock. While it isn’t the type of music I’d normally listen to I kinda like some of the stuff I’ve downloaded from their website. Have a listen.

Awesome story, but what did you use to find out he was the singer? Like, what service/tool/etc
Shaun, I didn’t use a tool. I just checked the band’s Myspace page which listed him as the singer.
You should probably mention that “Przepraszam” means “I’m Sorry” or “Excuse me.” I found it funny
