Outclassed – This Might Be Coincidence…

The Pittsburgh, PA quintet Outclassed has delivered a beast of a 12” with their EP This Might Be Coincidence. It is full of bombastic and mathy (but somehow sorta straightforward) noisy hardcore that is seething with energy ready to be unleashed. Really, this shit is the real deal. In only five songs, Outclassed manages to show they have more than a little range and the ability to incorporate just enough melody to make all the frenetic crashing and visceral screaming actually listenable. I’m reminded of bands like Drowningman and Sex Positions when I hear this. Good stuff if you like this sort of stuff and, well, if you don’t really like stuff like this, then it’s your loss. Oh yeah, pick this up on the awesome 1 sided vinyl. Super sexy.

    Eric —

This tasty one-sided 12” is jam-packed with heavy riffs and uproarious energy. I loved it. Here’s my review – http://www.dryvetymeonlyne.com/2009/01/23/outclassed-this-might-be-coincidence-ep/

    Peace.
