Me in Chicago, Her in New York City

What did I do this evening while my wife was hobnobbing with some blogger friends of hers in New York City this evening? After I tucked Hailey into bed with her 13 million stuffed Care Bears, I cleaned up around the house and then jogged 5.5 miles. Really exciting, huh?

I’m finally sitting down to relax a little; just me, some good music, and a glass full of Two Brothers’ Cane & Ebel Rye Ale. Good shit. “And the music?,” you ask. Well, some Paul Duncan (whose latest album Above The Trees is amazing), The Weight, and Lucero with Save The Day’s Through Being Cool on the treadmill. On that note, does anyone know where I can buy a copy of The Weight’s newest album? It just came out but the band’s site has zero useful information. Oh well.

Cheers.

Sounds like you’ve got the solo dad thing figured out. I’m having the same frustration re the new Weight album. 10MG is one of my all-time alt-country favorites and even if this one is supposed to be different, I want some more.
