I didn’t do much on the unicycle yesterday. I spent maybe 10-15 minutes rocking back and forth but didn’t want to try anything else because my wrist was hurting and I didn’t yet have any guards. I did (however) re-paint my daughter’s bed, sit out in the sun, and drink a few beers.
Today was a different story. I got some wrist guards and hopped on my unicycle about as soon as I got home from work. I did a few minutes of rocking back and forth to get my balance, but things were going smoothly and I was feeling confident, so…
I started taking off from the corner of the garage into the driveway and did it for about 30 minutes. I made it about 10-15 feet a whole bunch of times and the entire width of the driveway (about 25 feet). It was awesome! That’s not to say that I didn’t fall and didn’t appreciate my newly purchased wrist guards because I certainly did. I banged up my left ankle and bruised/scraped up the inside of my left thigh just about every time the unicycle fell to the ground.
It seems that every time I fell it was due to getting “stuck” with the pedals in the vertical position. I’ll have to try to fix that tomorrow.

I read a bunch of different blogs and 2 of them are written by guys trying to ride unicycles.

I’m sure you can feel this guy’s pain.
