For whatever reason, I’ve had a burning desire to learn to ride a unicycle for a few months now. To make sure I wasn’t just being impulsive, I waited and waited but (finally) I bought a slightly used unicycle via ebay earlier this week and picked it up today.
I met the seller in a parking lot in Itasca and gave him some cash and he gave me a shiny unicycle. But with today being a busy day at work I haven’t yet had a chance to get in the saddle yet. That’s for tomorrow and I’m pretty excited.
The hardest part of buying a unicycle was convincing my wife that I should get one, so I didn’t. I only told her that I got it during dinner this evening, after I had already picked it up. She was unhappy and may have called me an idiot.
Needless to say, wifey isn’t thrilled about me learning to ride a unicycle and actually said, “I hope you bruise your shins really bad,” when I told her. When I said she was being mean, she replied, “At least I didn’t tell you I hope you break a leg.”
Until tomorrow…

OK thanks for the chuckle, this is a classic. I’m kinda with your wife on this, she really could have wished a lot worse on ya.
But now I’ve got a Queen song stuck in my head.
