It came from the nineties (Vol. 37)

This could be the best installment of “It cam from the nineties” yet. I mean, Soul Asylum, The Breeders, and Cold Water Flat? C’mon. If you are unfamiliar with ‘em, Cold Water Flat was a band fronted by the brother of Buffalo Tom’s Bill Janovitz. This song got a little airplay on alternative rock radio but not much. It’s a gem of song though.

MP3 | Cold Water Flat – Magnetic North Pole
MP3 | Soul Asylum – Runaway Train
MP3 | The Breeders – Cannonball
MP3 | Feeder – High
MP3 | House Of Pain – Jump Around

I can still remember playing that cold water flat tune on KLSU the college radio station of LSU. But, I had no idea the connection to Buffalo Tom. I just remember it a song off of some label compilation.

Now that I have that Cold Water Flat song, all I need is Devils Diary by The Caufields and my collection of 1990’s alternative songs that should of been hits will be complete.

Could you re-upload “High”? I am on a Can’t Hardly Wait soundtrack kick and I would really appreciate that!
