A Lot Of Weird People Standing Around is the debut four-song 7” from Philadelphia’s Everyone Everywhere. It is an awesome slab of wax that contains some of the freshest and awesomest indie emo rock this side of ifyoumakeit.com. These songs just have that certain something… something that’s sunny, emoey, punky, poppy, fuzzy, chunky, and a bit off-kilter. It all reminds me of Tigers Jaw vs. Algernon Cadwallader vs. Superchunk vs. The Promise Ring or something like that. A Lot Of Weird People… is warm and familiar and sounds as comforting as a sweater and some hot cocoa on a cold winters day. Just be sure to spike that cocoa with something strong. I’ll leave it up to you to determine exactly what strong really means. I’m sure you can figure it out.
