The San Francisco punk band Dead To Me recently (okay many months ago) followed up their debut album Cuban Ballerina with the even more impressive but all too brief Little Brother EP. At a combined thirteen minutes long, the five songs on the album are over way too quick and demand multiple listens every time. Overall, the EP falls within the genre of melodic and catchy bouncy mid-tempo punk rock but there is plenty of street punk seeping into the mix and even a bit of ska on the title track that sounds a bit like Against Me. It’s awesome (but unsurprising) considering the band features members of One Man Army and Western Addiction. The vocals (as you might expect) are gritty, brash, and bratty while, musically, the band touches on a few different styles but coalesces them into something singularly Dead To Me. Personally, I like the Little Brother EP, much more than their debut and can’t wait to hear another full-length from these guys as this is easily one of my favorite releases of the past year.

definately getting attention, and I have more songs that will shortly be
