In a move that I never would have expected, Australian singer/songwriter recently recorded a song-for-song cover of the new (and totally awesome) Against Me album New Wave. His interpretations are certainly tamer than the originals, but also a little more ragged as they lack the originals’ Butch Vig supplied sheen. An interesting and well-executed concept that give a whole new light to the killer songs on New Wave. You can sample a few of them below or download the entire thing from Ben’s site or Hype Machine.
