Bayside at the Fox Valley Mall

Earlier this afternoon Hailey and I headed over to the Fox Valley Mall parking lot to catch Bayside as part of the Zumiez Couch Tour. We intentionally skipped the opener (The Frantic) because they are 100% terrible. Pretty strange to have Bayside playing 10 minutes from our house, but pretty cool. After two songs Hailey remarked, “I don’t like this song!” Typical. So we went to get a milkshake.

Perhaps she just isn’t ready for live rock n’ roll just yet, I mean, she isn’t even three years old and was nodding her head along to “Duality” when we got back into the car. As for the music (all of the 5 or so songs we heard), Bayside sounded like Bayside. They were energetic and had the hordes of suburban teenage skateboard kids going nuts.

Just another typical Saturday afternoon in the ‘burbs.

I absolutely love bayside…also had the pleasure of them practicing across the hall from my old band so i got to hear them quite often…funny thing is I’ve never seen them at a real show before
