If you live in Chicago and don’t have any plans for tonight let me suggest that you head out to the Double Door and check out the awesome rootsy-rock of Backyard Tire Fire. The show starts at 9PM and features both Phonograph and Chicago Farmer opening.
We went to see Lucero at Metro last night and they were (as usual) great! They played for well over two hours. We saw all the usuals (Andy, Julia, Em, Tim, etc…) except Moe and the band even gave a shout out to the mighty Catfish Haven. Additionally, their tour mates with Bobby Bare Jr. were amazing. Do they have a record out?

I missed Bobby Bare Jr, but heard he was amazing in Milwaukee as well.
Lucero was good in Milwaukee, but barely broke the hour mark and played no encores.
