Back from the Northwoods

Yeah, we’re back from a holiday trip to Wisconsin’s famed Northwoods where there was plenty of fishin’, swimmin’, and wakeboardin’ goin’ on. There was also plenty of beer and other mixed drinks flowin’ too including some of my soon-to-be brother-in-law’s homebrew White Flag Wheat Ale. Good times.

There was also no shortage of music playin’ up in the Northwoods either. Since we were up at my uncle Craig’s place, it was generally his iPod that was spittin’ out tunes from the likes of The Shins, New Order, Talking Heads, Fleetwood Mac, and Gorillaz. The few times I managed to get my iPod into the rotation, it was quickly displaced due to the inclusion of Rick Springfield and REO Speedwagon on my summer playlist. Oh well. Just wait until I have a cabin in the woods…

So what is your chicago radio station of choice? I’ve never been able to tolerate a radio-adapter on my ipod, and I don’t have a tape deck in my car (damn you mazda), so when I drive back home from school in michigan, I’m dying for the moment when q101 appears out of the static. I’ll admit though, they get a little too slipknot/disturbed for me sometimes, but…Crash Test Radio. Period.
