An incomplete history of Chicago punk rock (vol. 24)

Before he joined Allister, Scott Murphy played bass in a little-known and under-appreciated pop-punk band from Chicago’s Northwest suburbs called The Humdingers. The Humdingers consisted of Scottie, Keith, Kevin, and Freddie and broke up when Kevin joined the Air Force and Scott joined Allister in 1998. I think Johnny Swiss played guitar for a little while after the “Airman” left and before Scott joined Allister. It’s all history now, right? Anyhow, aside from the See Ya Later Aviator 10” that is posted below in its entirety, the band also put out a 7”, and some two cassette tapes for a total output of 50 or 60 recorded songs. All of it is pretty good stuff if you like rock-n-roll influenced pop-punk that falls somewhere on the Screeching Weasel side of the spectrum. I’ll (maybe) get around to digitizing all the rest of it, but for now, here is the long out of print 10”, See Ya Later Aviator that features the original version of the song “Miz” which was covered on Allister’s debut album Dead Ends & Girlfriends.

For accuracy’s sake, I’d like it noted that the boxes of this 10 inch that i have in my garage disagree with your assertion that this is out of print.
