Below are 10 iPhone apps (in alphabetical order) that I find myself using all the time (for better or for worse). It’s also safe to say that at this point in time both my wife and I would have a hard time going extended periods of time without our iPhones. Anyhow, maybe you’ll find an app you can use but also I’d love to know what apps you think I’m missing the boat on.
Air Sharing Pro
$9.99
Mount your Phone to your desktop like an external drive to view and even print documents without installing software on your desktop. Or get the regular Air Sharing app for half the price.
Bloom
$3.99
A great generative music app from the mind of Brian Eno. Just tap the screen and you’re making music. My three year old daughter loves this and she calls it “balloons.”
Facebook
Free
C’mon, you know you’ve always wanted to update your Facebook status while driving during rush hour traffic in a torrential downpour, right?
Google
Free
I use the “voice search” feature to say my Google search term rather than typing it out. Again, this comes in very handy while driving.
Last.fm
Free
Create personalized radio stations based on any artist or genre you choose, listen to tracks from your Last.fm library, or monkey around with your profile.
RunKeeper Pro
$9.99
The best and most useful (non-Twitter) app I have on my iPhone. Creates a GPS map of any walk/run/jog/bike I might do and give you detailed info about distance and pace. Simply amazing. Try RunKeeper Free to test it out.
Solebon Solitaire
$1.99
I’ve spent hours playing Baker’s Game and even got my dad hooked. Best solitaire game for iPhone. The free version (which is also very good) is called Sol Free Solitaire.
TwitterFon
Free
My favorite Twitter client for iPhone hands down. It’s ad supported (which kinda sucks) but there’s a Pro version with even more features for $4.99 that I might check out.
The Weather Channel
Free
View current weather conditions, in-motion radar maps, and even hourly forecasts for your location. I use this app just about every single day.
WOXY Radio
Free
Listen to the future of indie, alternative, and modern rock from the comfort of your iPhone.

i was using Twitterfon, but once i got tired of the ads, i switched to Tweetero. Also free, no ads and damn near the same offerings. i’d suggest checking it out.
Secretly or maybe not so secretly I pine for an iphone but will never buy one as long as their only avail through att. I have a personal vendetta against em and I’m too proud to ever switch. I’m hoping verizon gets em next year when their deal runs out w att. Would love to have that woxy and last.fm app. One day, sigh…
Thanks for this list! I’m having such a horrible time getting my last.fm app to scrobble the damn iphone correctly. Half the time it works, half the time it don’t. No idea what I’m doing wrong but any advice would be taken gratefully. You know where to find me, xoxo
