Hello. I couldn't think of anything clever to write here so I'll just go with the facts. My name is Eric and I created Can You See the Sunset From the Southside back in July 2005 because I'm the kind of guy who starts a good majority of conversations with, "So have you heard the new album from [insert sweet band name here]," and also because I didn't want my friend Jacob to have a better blog than I did. It seemed like a natural extension of the short-lived punk zine that I worked on back in the late 90's with my (now) wife.
I toured the U.S. in a beat up old van as one of the founding members of the now defunct pop punk band Allister until I met the woman that would become my wife. We currently reside in the Western suburbs of Chicago with our rambunctous daughter Hailey.

Submissions and Advertisments
I accept and listen to just about all music submissions for Can You See The Sunset From The Southside. It may take awhile, but I'll listen. If you want to send a CD for review (preferred method) please make sure that you think it is something I will be inclined to review. I like a lot of different music (everything from reggae to black metal) but won't review anything that I can't recommend. You can email me for a mailing address. If you'd rather send MP3's for me to listen to, please check before sending them. I love hearing new music but my inbox can be a little overwhelming at times.
