Tomorrow (Oct. 22) my daughter Hailey will be two years old. I know that I haven't really written much about her on this blog as of late, but that doesn't mean that she isn't the inspiration for just about everything I do. From being born a month prematurely and spending a week in the NICU, to her rotavirus-induced seizures, and even her recent nosebleeds and subsequent cauterization, there hasn't been a dull moment in our house with Hailey around.
I knew I would lay down and die for her the moment I first laid eyes on her two years ago. It has (however) taken me almost this long to realize that she'll be breaking my heart every single day for the rest of my life. It's the way she calls out, "Daddy! Daddy!" It is her incredible smile and the way she giggles. It is watching her learn and grow from day to day. So here is a big Happy Birthday to my little girl.
