I do realize that a certain portion of this blog's readers are mainly indie rock fans that are basically uninterested by these pop punk posts. Whatever. I don't care. These are my roots. Much of this is the kind of music that makes me wanna stand up and shout at the top of my lungs (see Strung Out's Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues for example) and just be young again. These songs have staying power. Too much of today's indie rock crap is much too forgettable and unexciting. It is music that elicits zero emotional response from me and (perhaps) that is why looking back at where we came from is sometimes a much needed exercise.

that Homegrown record is great... so poppy and so cheesy but fucking great
You've got the right attitude man. Plus, Teen Idols! You know that song, "20 Below"? One of the very best.
well said, viva energy, youth and adrenaline, beats much of the snooze-worthy introverted shoe-gazing that covers indiedom. best set of posts i've encountered for a long time

It's true! A certain part of your readers are popmusic lovers (like me) But I don't think you must take care about this...All kind of music could be compatible, couldn't it?
Personally, I hear at same time NOFx, Apples in stereo, nine inch nails or Chixdiggit!
Your blog it's really awesome. Congratulations!
