Cover songs for hump day -

Ray Lamontagne covering (acoustically) Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" which I aped from JAX over at Rock Insider and Rose Polenzani's version of Death Cab For Cutie's "Soul Meets Body" that is taken from her Myspace page. A little change of pace for your midweek blues.

That lamontagne cover is nutty, but I like it. Can't wait for the full LP to drop. Also kinda psyched about the Radiohead covers album with RJD2 and others on it.

Also, thanks for yr kind words over on my blog the other day. I've been pulling for you & the family, and I'm so glad the worst of it seems to be over.

Today I saw my urologist, and he told me that I beat cancer. Two major surgeries, 4 rounds of chemotherapy, and today I get the all-clear. Now I get my regular check-ups and count down to the 5-year mark. We both have cause to celebrate.

Oh, and I will take you up on that beer-when-I'm-in-Chicago offer. Maybe we can grab a Cubs game too! Dempster just broke the team consecutive saves record last night [stealing it from that fat shit Joe Borowski], and extended his scoreless innings streak to 30 1/3 [I think].

Now the sun is shining bright here in Brooklyn and I need to get drunk.

Cheers for the support.

JT.

Hey Eric, good to hear things are getting back to normal. Be careful of Gnarls Barkley tracks (I'm sure you're already aware of the bloodbath). Let me know when you're in the city sometime and maybe we can meet up.
