Is this the end my friends? -

In light of my brother's recent decision to close shop on his own blog, I've been thinking a lot about the future of this site.
With a job that allows for zero downtime, classes 3-4 nights a week, and a brand new baby girl that needs my love and attention, I just don't have a whole lot of time to devote to CYSTSFTS. There are more important things than blogging.
The blog has pretty much sucked for the past few weeks, so I thank all of you that have kept on reading. There are so many other great MP3 blogs out there that I can't even compete with. Muzzle Of Bees, Gorilla Vs. Bear, You Ain't No Picasso, Aquarium Drunkard, Feed Me Good Tunes and So Much Silence are all great reads that cover so much more in so much more depth than I could ever hope to.
Thanks to Jacob over at Cannot Be Trusted for getting me into this whole mess. It's been a blast. And while I'm not necessarily shutting down this here thing just yet, if it continues it's gonna change. So don't take me off your blogrolls just yet.
If I have time I'll post my top 50 of 2005 next week. Beyond that I don't know.
Check back. Things may or may not change. For the time being I'll leave you all with the Centaur album In Streams. It is Matt Talbot's (from the great Champaign, IL band HUM) post HUM release. Download here. Enjoy.

aww bummer man. i love me some cystsfts. but you gotta do what you gotta do...if yer writing, i'm reading.
cheers.
It's okay to take a break. I sometimes feel like I need to take one very desperately just so that I can reprioritize, and continue posting stuff that is interesting. don't leave us forever though!!!
i dig cystsfts too! keep em coming when you're up to it.
You haven't been a bad blogger! Your blog has only gotten better. Believe me! It seems to me that you've been working as hard as ever. We go through phases as bloggers and, at times, we merely just keep them afloat. Don't feel bad, but don't moan or apologize for it either. Just do what you love. No apologies!
BTW, the design for High Brau looks amazing. Let me know when you launch it!
Hang in there dude!
i love your blog! i understand that family always comes first. maybe once a week posts??? if you choose to go, i'll miss this site. you really opened my eyes to some amazing bands. i've pretty much listened to old/defunct bands, but you really got me to like The Loved Ones. Thanks for pointing out some good things going on.
Man, that's not the way I wanted to start my weekend! I hope you don't shut it down permanently. I love the daily double dose of MP3s. ... And where else would I get post-Hum material?? Thanks.
Seriously! Well I left some tunes in yr honour, and I'm sure you'll be back in due course. Cheers.
i don't seem to have much time for blogging as of lately either. i feel your pain.
holding a contest over at camerondeyhle.blogspot.com. come check it out if you get bored. and don't drop your blog dude. maybe make a commitment to do once a week or something.
awww I understand, having a new baby just doesn't leave one with much free time. But I'll miss your posts - if you have time for one every once in a while even, I'll keep checking back!
confession is stay don't go
ooh it is
stay don't go
You don't have to post everyday, maybe cut back to every other day, or 3 times a week. I value the things you say and post. In any aspect, you can at least keep a once a week feature. If you must close up shop, you are always welcom to post on my blog whenever the feeling moves you.
